Easter Weekend

And I'm back...for now...although, I don't know how long it will last as our computer is still not fully functioning. Thanks to Chris for picking up the slack and posting updates every once in awhile.

We had a really fun Easter weekend last week. Chris's sister, Stephanie, celebrated her birthday on Saturday and invited us all down to play in our favorite Utah Valley. We ate out at a lot of different delicious places. I love to eat out. We bounced around and slid down the slides at Kangaroo Zoo. We went to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. Chris got to go rock climbing. And Grant loved running the hallways with his cousins at the Motel the family stayed at. I'm sure the other guests enjoyed it as well. Then that Saturday night Chris, Grant and I got hooked up with some tickets to the Utah Jazz game. Thanks Hannah! Unfortunately, they played terrible, but it was still pretty fun to be there with Grant. He cheered like a pro. Then for Easter festivities, we braved the rain and went to the Easter Egg hunt at Mountain View HS and had another hunt with the family Sunday afternoon. Grant wasn't quite into the egg collecting. He was a little more interested in egg throwing.

not a good start

So I finally made an attempt to start updating our blog and just managed to run into technical difficulties. And after fiddling with it for awhile, I am done. I apologize for the horrible mismatched background of our blog, but it's just going to have to stay that way until Chris can figure it out and fix it.

March Activities

Jen continues to work on her goals she set at the first of the year. She doesn't get them all each day but has been successful in improving her life and habits quite a bit. Grant occupies most of her time and I think she's done well to get him doing a number of different activities during the day; if he had his choice, some days might be watching nonstop tv. She finished at least a couple books this month including City of Ember, and Eldest-the second book in the Eragon series. She does well to keep the house orderly even though she may have a person/persons working directly against her.
I have been spending most of my time on two activities: remodeling the Kaysville house, and trying to finish my online advanced English class. I'm trying to qualify to graduate or at least walk in April. The "old Woolsey place" is coming along nicely. If we decided not to fix up the den, I think we would complete the project by mid-April; the tile is all placed, the painting just needs touch-ups, the shower/shower surround are complete, and the granite counters are scheduled for the 14th. As for my English class, I hope you can see a difference in my grammar and punctuation already. I had a couple interviews this month, but I am still waiting to hear back from them; We'll see. Everyone can feel free to keep your eyes out for me and let me know if you hear of any good job openings.
Grant is communicating so well these days. He can say enough words that we probably couldn't name them all, but he mostly likes to stick to the basics- No way!, watch (watch tv), side (let's go outside), juice, snacks, and buttball (football or about any other sport ball). Grant loves to dance. Give him a good beat and he'll shake it up. He gets some of his moves from "The Wiggles" but others are all his own. If our computer was 100%, we would post some pictures and videos. During the sunny days in March, Grant loved to go outside, run everywhere, explore everything, and kick a ball around. He is really going to have a blast this spring and summer. He will be going to nursery in a couple of weeks. Jen and I don't have a calling and joke that we'll be called as nursery leaders just as we are liberated to pay full attention in church.
