"I A Big Boy"

Grant is a big boy now becuase he get's to sleep in a big boy bed. I didn't plan on taking him out of the crib until sometime this summer before the baby came, but about a week ago Grant started climbing out of the crib. I had him show me how he did it and realized there was nothing safe about his method of escape at all. So, we converted it into a toddler bed. I have been pretty suprised actually at how well he has stayed in his bed. I thought for sure it was going to be a huge battle at bed and nap times. It has amazed me how much older it makes him seem. He really isn't a baby anymore. He likes to tell me that too. "I not baby. I big boy."

After discovering how fun it was to climb out of his crib, Grant began trying out all the climbing things at the park. Now that's all he wants to do there. We were able to get him away for a little while by trying out his Buzz Lightyear kite the other day.

Grant is pretty much obsessed with these Batman pajamas. (Thanks for letting us borrow them Annie and Ryan!) He loves to wear the little cape that attaches on the back and then run as fast as he can. I typically have to find a pretty awesome shirt to tempt him with in the mornings in order to get him dressed for the day. This morning he had found Chris's soccer bag and was trying everything on. I especially love how he put the beanie on his head. It looks like some kind of turban.

Eyes

I think Grant has such an interesting color of eyes. Sometimes they look more green and sometimes they look more golden brown. Either way, totally different from both Chris and I.

Nice Hats!

Here are some pictures from St. Patricks Day that my sis-in-law took. Thank goodness for her so we have pictures of Grant.

Conference and Easter

I really enjoyed this past weekend. I loved listening to Conference. Grant was remarkably good and I managed to stay awake so I was able to get quite a bit out of it this time. I liked having Easter weekend coincide with Conference as well. I was all excited this year for Grant to do an Easter Egg hunt. He loves treats and doesn't get them very often (Poor kid. His mom is not a big fan and so never buys any) so I really thought he would be thrilled to hunt for eggs with treats in them. Well, he was not interested. At all. Ok, maybe for the first 2 minutes of the search he was interested until he found an egg and then he was done and ready to do something else. Oh well. My sister Emily came up and spent the weekend with us. That really helped make it more enjoyable as well. It was nice to have a little one-on-one time with her and our family.

My sister-in-law took a couple pictures so thankfully I have a little record of this Easter.

The first and last egg Grant found. He does kindof have a smug expression on his face doesn't he?

Grant's cousin Kenzie picking up the first and last egg that Grant carelessly tossed to the ground so he could go play with a ball.

Arn't these 2 cousins cute? I love Grant's face in the 2nd one.
