"I A Big Boy"

Grant is a big boy now becuase he get's to sleep in a big boy bed. I didn't plan on taking him out of the crib until sometime this summer before the baby came, but about a week ago Grant started climbing out of the crib. I had him show me how he did it and realized there was nothing safe about his method of escape at all. So, we converted it into a toddler bed. I have been pretty suprised actually at how well he has stayed in his bed. I thought for sure it was going to be a huge battle at bed and nap times. It has amazed me how much older it makes him seem. He really isn't a baby anymore. He likes to tell me that too. "I not baby. I big boy."

After discovering how fun it was to climb out of his crib, Grant began trying out all the climbing things at the park. Now that's all he wants to do there. We were able to get him away for a little while by trying out his Buzz Lightyear kite the other day.

Grant is pretty much obsessed with these Batman pajamas. (Thanks for letting us borrow them Annie and Ryan!) He loves to wear the little cape that attaches on the back and then run as fast as he can. I typically have to find a pretty awesome shirt to tempt him with in the mornings in order to get him dressed for the day. This morning he had found Chris's soccer bag and was trying everything on. I especially love how he put the beanie on his head. It looks like some kind of turban.

I think it should be noted that I we didn't have him pose for that picure by the piano. He struck that pose without any coaching.

He IS a big boy! Wow, I can't believe how fast they grow up. I guess it's good that he gets used to the big bed for awhile before your new baby. Congrats on having a GIRL! So exciting. Hope you're not to uncomfortable this summer during your third trimester--it's no fun when it's hot!
