Jenny and I woke up early one morning to go to the balloon launch. Jenny has been wanting to go since last year or earlier. Even though we didn't go last year, they came to us. One of the balloons had some sort of emergency landing in front of our house on the street.
Here's all of the hardcore participants in the "Garys to Grandmas" trail run this year. The race was quite a bit harder this year with a good run uphill for the first half. Congrats and thanks to everyone who participated.
Here's grant on the 4th of July. He's wearing his special 4th of July shirt which has come to be a pretty good description of his personality these days. He's hanging out in the tent. It was his first campout.
Although Grant was a bit on edge before, he was completely enthralled when the fireworks started. They kept him amazed like this for about half of the show until he fell asleep.
Last night, we had a "Festa Brasileira" (Brazilian party). We had rice, fejoada, and a delicious brazilian barbeque. (not to mention some great music by Sandy & Junior to set the atmosphere.) Thanks to Christian for getting Grant his new jersey. We'll call Grant Ronaldinhozinho as we expect him to be the next Ronaldinho.
And as a final note- Can anyone tell me why you can click on some pictures and they open full size and others you can't? Drives me nuts!

When did Grantie poo get hair???? Like it combable and everything! Very suave and debonaire! Is that how you spell devonaire?
As far as the pics go - they never work for me unless I actually hyperlink them. To do so, when you add them into your blog, click on the pick to highlight it and then click on the hyperlink button and it will give it its very own blogger link spot so people can click and enlarge it. I never know if the blogger things I learn or figure out and then share are the real way to do things, but it is what works for me so take it with a grain of salt and don't judge me when you find a better/easier way to do it or find out that I am full of schmuck because it doesn't work for you.
:)
I always think that that Garys to Grandma's race is a funny thing you Barlows do. Funny as in fun.
Ryan ran in the room as I was reading your blog. He saw the pictures and started yelling "Baby Grant!" He knew exactly who that baby was. Maybe he just recognized Jenny, but he hasn't forgotten you guys. Miss you. Can't wait to see you!
Jenny, does Grant have orange hair like his daddy? Maybe orange isn't the right word, but you know what I mean. About the photos, I downloaded Picassa from Goggle for free and that's how I do all my blogging. It enlarges all of my photos automatically for me. It's super simple and you can do a lot of fun things with the pictures, too. You should check it out. It's awesome. love, dors
Cute pics and fun times!
