Free Fertilizer Available

So I wouldn't describe myself as an "animal lover," but maybe an "animal liker." I am not passionate about animals, but I do like them and can enjoy them. I did like and even love my dog Toby that my family had for awhile. And I more often than not enjoy other people's pets, but I would have to admit that in general I like the idea of pets more than the reality of pets. Or maybe I am more of a "grandparent" animal person. I like to spend time with them, but as soon as they start causing trouble or being difficult I can turn them back over to their "parent" or owner to take care of. Who knows, maybe I am just lazy. But either way, all of this would explain why I am so annoyed and disgusted with whatever dumb cat is using my garden as its litter box. For a little over a week now I have found little poorly covered up holes with decaying cat poop in MY garden. SICK. Who does this cat think he is? And what owner is not taking proper care of their pet by providing them with their own garden to poop in? I guess maybe I should be grateful for the free "fertilizer," but mostly I think it is revolting. And I am tired of cleaning up after you cat. Go find somewhere else to poop!

p.s. Other than the extra "fertilizer" problem my garden is doing great! I did have something eating my little bean plants (it better have not been that cat!) but they seem to have survived ok and are still growing. I am still a little skeptical as to how everything is going to fit in my square foot garden once it is full grown, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Gross! I'm so sorry. Glad to hear your garden is doing so well. My mom does the square foot thing and loves it. Even added her own compost this year. So maybe your gardens are more a like than i realized. Both have fertilizer.... :)

We're going to plant a sqaure foot garden soon - I've heard they're great! Keep me posted on how it goes - oh, and sorry about the cat poo problem - I've never really liked cats myself :)
